Sleep & Weight Loss
Most everyone loves to sleep. Lack of sleep gets us cranky. A good amount of sleep gives us a “glow.” Getting enough sleep also helps you lose weight. Surprising?
Apparently those who did not get enough sleep were found to lose a lot more weight than those who got adequate amounts. When you’re tired from a lack of sleep, your body does not function the way it should. You’re tired, you’re worn, out and your body is pushing itself to do things beyond its limit. When you sleep more, your body is well rested and can perform well when you’re awake. You have more energy to move around, which helps burn fat. Your body functions normally, which naturally is always burning calories.
Sleep is helpful for weight loss, but it’s also important for your health. Once you lose sleep, it’s hard to make it up. It’s better to get a good amount of sleep each night instead of staying up late and crash sleeping for 15 hours a couple days later. So get your sleep!
